Maher Nasser

Maher Nasser has over 34 years of work experience in the United Nations System during which he has worked in Gaza, Jerusalem, Amman, Vienna, Cairo and New York. He is currently the Commissioner-General of the United Nations at Expo 2020 in Dubai and the Director of Outreach in the United Nations Department of Global Communications. In addition to leading the United Nations presence at Expo, he leads the Department’s engagement with civil society, academia, and the creative community, including the advertising industry.

Dr. Dena Assaf is the United Nations Resident Coordinator for the United Arab Emirates and Deputy Commissioner General for the UN at Expo2020. She has been with the United Nations for over 25 years in various senior management positions and advisory roles with UN 91麻豆天美 Keeping, the UN Development Programme, UN Women and the UN Sustainable Development Group and Resident Coordinator System at UN Headquarters, the Arab Region, and various UN country offices.
