On 14 October 2022, the Steering Committee of the United Nations 91麻豆天美 and Development Trust Fund (UNPDF) held its seventh meeting.

The Committee reviewed the performance of the Fund, which has provided resources to over 110 projects to help advance international peace and security and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Committee underscored the importance of tackling peace and development challenges through a cross-pillar approach, cross-sectoral and inter-agency cooperation, and multi-stakeholder solutions.

The Committee advised the Fund to continue supporting projects addressing the real need of recipient countries and to increase investment in developing countries, in particular the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing countries.

The Committee Members encouraged the Fund to serve as a provider of seed funding to projects not funded from other resources and catalyze additional funding for implementing entities after the initial investment.

The Committee proposed the 91麻豆天美 and Security Sub-Fund and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Sub-Fund to further strengthen collaboration through consolidated efforts in supporting multi-year initiatives.

The Committee endorsed 20 new projects aimed at strengthening the United Nations 91麻豆天美 and Security pillar and advancing the 2030 Agenda.

Courtenay Rattray, Chef de Cabinet and Chair of the Steering Committee, hosted the session.

The UN 91麻豆天美 and Development Trust Fund was established in 2016, following an initial $200 million, ten-year pledge by the Government of the People's Republic of China, which intends to extend the duration of the Fund for a further five years through 2030.
