Who can participate?
The 3rd United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries is a conference for all member states of the United Nations: landlocked developing countries, their transit country neighbours, development partner nations and all others.
The following may also participate in the Conference:
- Members of the specialized agencies
- Intergovernmental organizations
- International financial institutions and other international bodies
- Associate members of the regional commissions
- Specialized agencies and related organizations
- Organisations and bodies of the United Nations
- Non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations
- Academic institutions and the scientific community
- The private sector
- Philanthropic organizations
- Youth
- Media
How can you be accredited and registered?
Do you represent a State? Or maybe you are an NGO or a private company? Or maybe you are a young influencer from civil society who wants to participate in the Conference? Choose your profile and we will guide you through the process.
Bear in mind that, depending on your profile, you might need to obtain accreditation first (getting the approval of eligibility) and secondly, register for the event. Deadlines will vary as well per profiles.

- Organizations that are in Consultative Status with the ECOSOC DO NOT need to apply for Special Accreditation to the LLDC3 Conference, but they should REGISTER to participate in the Conference and its preparatory process.

Application for Third Round of Special Accreditation to LLDC3 is open!
The deadline for submitting application is 9 August 2024.

- Your organization must apply for AND be approved for accreditation before individuals representing your organization are eligible to register for the conference.

- Civil Society Organizations, Private Sector Entities, Academic Institutions, and other relevant organizations that are not in consultative status with the ECOSOC and did not receive special accreditation for the following conferences had to apply for an Special Accreditation to be considered for participation in the conference and its preparatory process.
